Poetry by Liana Margiva

The morrow comes

I won’t be there to see it.

A lucky woman, folks will say,

She’s lived a long life till this day.

I reckon this is true to say

With notable exception:

No one will know that life was stocked

To very brim with angst and hurt.

The morrow comes to see me charred

Deleted, gone, to ashes burnt,

As if the blaze of unrequited love

That burned my soul for many years

For lifetime wasn’t enough.

The ocean waves will take away

To the abyss of yesterday

The ashes of my singed heart

In which the Solitude once built

Eternal nest with darkness filled.

The morrow comes to see me gone

From face of Earth, the loveless one,

The one who dreamt of bliss and passion

By love rejected in most cruel fashion.

The ones my heart has craved

For months and years,

Paid no attention to my ache and tears.

Save solitude, my escort and my guard,

Which chased me out at night

Into backyard, so I could share

My pleas and prayers with eternal moon.

The morrow comes to see me gone,

The birds will wake and sing

To greet the dawn

Not missing me and not at all regretting

My glaring absence from this past’ral setting.

The wind will rip the dead leaves from the trees,

And throw them into uncertainty abyss

While ocean waves will carry far away

The ashes of burnt heart as fancy prey.

The morrow comes to see me gone and lost,

No more the solitude’s eternal host: it will be free

To seek its new refuge and resurrection

In hearts of those plagued by love’s rejection.

The morrow comes to see me gone for good,

Unloved, I walked the Earth,

A mere piece of driftwood,

Depraved of happiness, committed to frustration,

Yet how painful is with Earth eternal separation!

And God will say he always loved me!

Then why on Earth he depraved me of love,

Why committed me to pain and suffering?

The poem captures a person's heart. You write with such remorse yet there is a quiet dignity that exists with in. None of us are devoid of human fralities. Many are hurt and suffer. One should try to rise anbove the pain which surrounds them and find something beautiful in life. It is alwys there , SEEK AND YOU WILL FIND IT!

Oh my, these words hit home; you're not alone; however, I feel your pain. Regrets missed opportunities, or so it feels. Twice married, twice in hell. You may have been saved from a life in mental chains.

Do not regret it; keep moving forward, loving and living.

True friendships where there is zero duplicity is worth 1001 fake lovers. It is true; many blokes fake love, preferring lust.

Always count your blessings, such as Anatol Kardiukov. Rare is such a beautiful friendship.

Oh my! This write certainly pulls at the heart in a deeply sad way. It is hard to look beyond the very real grief of unrequited love. To go through life blinded to the love that exists in each petal of a flower, each ray of sunshine, each child's smile...the real love of this world is very sad.

Beautiful writing sweet Poet!

Wishing you an abundance of creativity!

With respect and smiles galore,

Carol

So good to see you posting again. But so bad to see you posting such sorrow and grief. If only you had the kind of life you wished for, you would have probably written a different poem at this stage of your life. Even with translation, your beautiful writing comes through, although painful to read.

Then again, just maybe you posting the lament of a life lost, not really your own but a poetic exercise.

AN EXCELLENT SHARING OF SUCH A SAD OUTLOOK. A POOR SOUL UNABLE TO FREE ITSELF FROM THE WOUNDS OF LOST LOVE, STAYS 'BOGGED DOWN' IN THE LAMENT OF WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN, SHOULD HAVE BEEN, WOULD HAVE BEEN AND IS NOT. IF THIS EARTH WAS OUR 'HOME' I COULD EMBRACE SUCH HOPELESSNESS, BUT IT IS NOT. FOR WE ARE MERELY PASSING THROUGH THIS PLACE ON OUR WAY 'HOME'. THUS, IT IS A PITY THAT ONE CANNOT SEE THE HOPE THAT 'THE MORROW' BRINGS AND CERTAINLY CANNOT EVEN SEE THEMSELVES IN IT. BUT I THINK THE GREATEST TRAVESTY IS BEING UNABLE TO EMBRACE THE LOVE OF ALMIGHTY GOD...WHO HAS NEVER LIED BY PROMISING US A ROSE GARDEN DOWN HERE. BUT DID PROMISE THAT IN SPITE OF 'ALL' LIFE 'WILL' THROW AT US...HE WILL LEAD US SAFELY HOME 'IF' WE KEEP OUR FAITH IN HIM. AND THIS IS 'THE MORROW' THAT ONE MUST KEEP THEIR EYES ON, HOME...THAT ETERNAL PLACE OF JOY, GLORY AND PEACE THAT OUTSHINES EVERYTHING, GOOD OR BAD, THAT WE HAVE EXPERIENCED DOWN HERE. ENJOYED, LIANA! YOU NEVER FAIL TO SUPPLY THE HEARTFELT DRAMA OF LOVE AND HEARTBREAK SO WELL, THANK YOU. LOVE, BLESSINGS AND FAITH...HIS+INSPIRATIONS.

It is good to be back Liana and reading the art of such poets as you. You capture will the angst of love lost or perhaps never captured fully. Still...tomorrow is always another day and we must embrace each day to the fullest...Fee

A soul-reaching and moving poem, Liana. I am afraid that many walk that path in this world/life. Love, peace, and best wishes,

A truly heartfelt poem, full of reflective, passionate, and sad thoughts. I wish I knew Russian to read it in the original. Excellent use of repetition, very effective.
