The Perfect Way to Start the Day

The warm sun...wakes me to the day
The bed is warmer...awhile more here I will stay

In the trees...the birds begin to sing
I think of the adventures...the day will bring

The aroma of coffee...now feels the air
To be sipped...in my favorite chair

Off in the corner...a fishing pole catches my eye
Think of the fish...caught with the new fly

I might use the day...for chores put off before
Maybe fix...a squeeky door

I wonder how...the day should be spent
Surprised to see...another hour has went

Plans for the day...I should think
But first more coffee...I shall drink

Nothing like a new day, coffeee and hand-tied flies. I'd be fishing for rainbows in a NY minute.
