The Killer (Yet another poem from my second book)

The one who stands before me,
Knife in hand,
Ready to destroy me,
But how?

There are many options they could take,
Many options to consider,
But it only takes a split second,
To slit one’s throat,

Death in a matter of seconds,
But words can kill forever,
Remembered by one,
Created by the killer.
