When someone first accepts Jesus Christ as Lord, he (she) is known as a baby Christian.
The Bible cautions that baby Christians need the milk of the Word, taking in the nourishment it provides, as they grow stronger and become ready to take in the Meat of the Word, and learn to understand and apply the hardier disciplines of following Jesus Christ.
SIGNS OF GROWTH
Is the baby growing?
Does he laugh and smile now?
Is his body being nourished every day?
Are his legs much stronger?
Is his walking more secure?
Does he understand the many words you say?
Is the Christian growing?
Does he bear the Spirit's fruit?
Is his mind renewed by studying the Word?
Does he walk with Jesus,
\who Will keep him safe from falling?
Does he understand the counsel of the Lord?
Just as a baby needs to learn
to walk and talk with ease,
So Christian babies need to learn
if Jesus they would please.
For there is not a better way --
His methods we can trust --
Keep studying to be approved
And reach His goal for us!

What better way is there of showing thyself approved as a Christian than by comparing one’s growth as a Christian to that of a baby’s early survival being sustained by milk alone, but as it grows, it needs a broader range of nourishment in order to continue growing. You have proved your maturity as a Christian through your testament of Jesus Christ in your poetry and other writings on AD. Not only do you display your love for Him, but you display your love of serving Him as well.
