Hope of Glory

Just to clarify ... I've been going through a time of separation from my family and constant bad news after bad news. Life has thrown many a curve ball at me this year. Friends with illness and threat of death, divorce, if it could go wrong it seem that it would. Where is the hope ... you may not be religious but I am certain you have asked yourself the question: What hope is there. This is my answer after many months of torturous spiritual journey. I write this for you to read but more so for me to declare the Glory of my King. Praise and honor and power be unto Him,

The world it crumbles liken to biscuits in the hands of a child
Caught with his hand in the cookie jar
Every thought and every feeling running around completely wild
Stirred to vigor by tragedies heart forsaken steel bars
That locks the soul in the confines off a world of hurt
The mind within the house of horrors
What has been done to be so devastatingly burnt
By the pain of all emotional tortures
Where is the hope that is to be found in this world of plenty
Fulfilled desires presumably easy to achieve
Where everything is fast yet we are always running on empty
For there is no substance and by this we are deceived
I was for many years deceived by this never ending thought of hope
The dream that could be achieved made of soap
Bubbles that pop when closer observed with a keen eye
Like the life that is lead which is a lie

But I've know the miraculous and the divine
When of grand mall seizures one has been healed
There is little room left for doubt that I am His and He is mine
But doubts they came and down that path I walked
Yet I am His and He is mine and though I was unfaithful
He remained the one who was and is true
Faithful to the end saving this one His heart hopefull
From many the things that my heart desire

Much was boastfull in my pride and then it all caved in yet I'm alive
Today because the learning had begun
And it is into the deep love of the divine that I now dive
Where there is truth and forgives and hope
The hope of eternity
That is not something for which I grope
As one gropes in the dark for the switch that brings light
But it is something to treasure with certainty
The assurance of the truth of what the spirit within bears witness
That there is and was and will be one who timely
Came and in this world had done
That which was not for man anything remotely possible
Feeling all the pain and all the grief
Knowing in His flesh such torment we will never know

This is He who is my Hope
This is He with whom I will spend eternity
Where the things of this world are passing
A world so full of what is fleeting
He is and forever will be
All that is my Hope of Glory

Dedicated to Jesus Christ of Nazerath, my Lord and Savior.

Amen

Even as you write of the eternal hope that fills your being, there is this earthly hope; His grace that brings us though the darkest trials renewed and peaceful, reminded by His comfort that He is indeed with us through it all. I am intrigued by "And it is into the deep love of the divine that I now dive." In Ephesians, His love is described as long, wide, high and deep. I pondered the meaning of deep, and soon made a connection--that His love is like a pool of water, and I dive into the depths with freedom and grace. It surrounds me as I revel in it.
This is a good poem, and one can only be stirred by the many trials you have endured and the conclusion of your faith. Beautiful.

When we search for comfort in our lives we often times reflect agaisnt the wind but as we stand fast to our convictions we are brought into the light of reason that reminds us all of what you are saying here... great piece..

Say Something Terrorible v3 by RickthePoetWarrior

My mom says ‘If you can’t say anything nice then don’t say anything’. Sorry mom but under the guise of poetic license I penned these beauties.
