This little piggy...went to market, this little piggy stayed home, this little piggy had roast beef, and this little piggy had none...and, THIS little piggy went wee, wee, wee, all the way to the White House lawn!

Poem Artwork

T he year has melted my buttered head
W ow! I hope my nose falls into it!
O h! ...and if,  and ever,  the price goes up . . .

T o eat plain bread, and I’ll turn my cup!
H oping it will all roll and right itself!
O inks who welter in the New Year, wallow
U nderstanding, by God, the pig stye’s, followed
S omeone should clean this up!
A nd it might as well be I!
N ine! ...Two-thousand and nine!
D ining with the Delegates is mine!

N ot that you weren’t invited!
I am here to tell you that it’s always been an open invitation!
N ow,  get involved! Don’t place your order then fire the chef!
E nvironmentally, economically, ethically, enthusiastically, every way you can! ...effectuation is your fork to pork, even if it is the Year of the Ox!

Happy New Year!

I love this. I hope there is one for 2010 by you. Year of the tiger.

Certainly the most original way I've ever read of getting this message across - and Acrostic's - so tricky (I've never done but one to my Mom on Valentine's day)
You summed it up: "don't place your order then fire the chef!" Great one. And your right, Americans need to stop expectiing someone to come in and clean the place up!
Later, Michael

Well done, Kimmers, and a Happy New Year to you, too. And you are so right; the admonition on the end of this one. For decades, we have been told that the economy could not stand the strain of ever-increasing debt (at home as well as in Washington). We have been told about all the environmental issues. Facts are facts unless the facts are treated as meaningless entertainment, which is exactly what we have done ... for decades. Now, it crashes. Choice time. We have a clear invitation to start making sense out of the way we live in this world or ... we can be entertained by becoming homeless while we wait for someone to bail us out of our own dumbness. I like the way you phrased this as an invitation :-)
