Either that, or they're signaling their contentment. What else would one need, but a nice stretch of calm water and moonlight under summer skies. Nice small piece. Very enjoyable. Bob
It certainly is amazing, the cacophony that comes out of a swampy area from frogs and toads all trying to make love at the same time. Insects may be part of it, as well. Looks to be like something that would warrant a good scientific study sorting out all of the sources of this marvelous chorus.
I grew up to believe that the jungle was filled with the sound of wild animals. To my surprise, upon listening to the jungle come alive, I realized that most of the sounds that I heard were birds, some of them probably imitating wild animals. ;-)
This is a book of free verse poetry that addresses the seven main tests in life and offers some sensible solutions to passing those tests with minimal discomfort.
