I dedicate this poem to my sisters and gal pals, and to all the women who have chosen to share their lives with me.
Faces in the Mirror
I look in the mirror and who do I see? My sister, of course, and sometimes me. The bonds that we share go deeper than looks, like love and understanding that people search for in books. Although we are different not always eye to eye, We know we are there; the knowingness helps us thrive. A week won't go by without picking up the phone. The call makes us happy we are not alone. Sisters are such an incredible bunch. We love this, we hate that, but hey! How about lunch? We walk this life as females, as sisters. We make time more beautiful, don't try to resist us. The mirror doesn't lie when it shows our reflection. The truth of it is, we are an extension, Each of the other, and just for the record, Allow me to mention how special you are, my sister, my friend, and that our trust in each other will never end.
Another great poem, I enjoyed this very much. It sounds as though you have a great relationship with your sister...I sometimes feel that I see my mother's reflection when I catch that unsuspected glimpse in the mirror. Great work....
