Adventures await those who seek God with their whole hearts, minds, and all that is within them...
Turning our eyes on Jesus, secrets we have so bountifully stored, that all that could imagine and moreIs when we open to Him our sacred heart's door. Keeping our eyes on Jesus, Such happiness His presence does bring, That all our most lovely imaginations Can't compare with His unconditional Love's-eye frame. Looking only to Jesus, When our most dreadful trials come about, He takes us to a place called paradise, Where there is only union, peace that surrounds. Seeking only the Face of Jesus, What else more precious than gold could we share, He's wanting us to have affectional love for others, To make His kingdom on Earth secure. Resting on the promises of Jesus, No other certainty in life can we trust, For in our domain here on Earth, Is but a moment of earthly passing from dust. Depending on the strength of Jesus, When our waywardly energies can't last, Totally dependent on our Saviour, Jesus, Is like a bright day from our darkness lost, past. Relaying totally on Jesus, Nothing will hinder God's plan, For those whom He has chosen, Shall be Kings, Queens, & rule this land. Wish only to be closer to Jesus, A friend that will more than bless your life, Confidence, faith, hope, expectation, Knowing the truth, You are God's child.
Beautifully expressed, Sharon. Keeping our eyes on Jesus is a must. To do otherwise is sheer stupidity, isn't it? Thank you for sharing. Your love for Him shines through your words.
The only way to be. :) I love the way you write, Sharon, your pen is blessed by Him! And any reader who turns to Him through your beautiful words is another soul won for the glory to Jesus!
Reminded me of a hymn, Turn your eyes upon Jesus, which sung by a Glasgow based group (now defunct) if very uplifting.
How often we turn away from Jesus. I recall standing looking into a dept store window in Edinburgh. I suddenly saw my reflection, and thought, 'I should be looking at Christ, not me.'Little things like a window reflection often prompt us to turn to look at Jesus.
This poem did just that.
These song lyrics and art are tales, tides and twinkling lights - tunes telling stories of warmth and sun, city and sand, paths that lead, and the coins we can keep in the Karma Bank. Spirit's been bypassed for sorrow, dreaming of a better tomorrow .
