He Stands

For those who believe in all the possibilities of the hereafter.

 

He Stands

Tall, handsome, young and
vital again, he stands

Arms crossed across his chest,
blue eyes bespeaking devotion
he stands, with feet apart,
for the long stand

He waits for her
to walk through the light,
to him

and

He stands

This is so touching. It reminds me of my Father who passed away in August ... even his blue eyes ... as if he awaits my Mother. Such a beautiful and moving poem. ~Best, Elizabeth
