'Tis the season to be thankful. And where would I be if I didn't first thank the One who created it all? This is my ode of thanks...

Sometimes I know I’m wrong
But I do it anyway.
And then I come for forgiveness…
You offer it without delay.

Sometimes the things I strive for,
Don’t go the way I planned
But You so-softly remind me...
To keep on saying ‘I can’.

Sometimes I know you sigh
‘Cause You see me headed for trouble.
And You dispatch your angels…
To help me avoid the rubble.

The spirit is willing, I know.
But the flesh, I’ve learned, is weak.
Yet Your forgiving Spirit,
Continues to grow and teach.

And that is why I stop now
To pen this one for You.
No matter what folks tell me
I know too well--it’s true …

That You will never leave me;
And no one loves me more.
In spite of all my failings,
Your grace has been the core…

That’s kept me living and breathing--
And that’s the crux you see,
For there will always be You
But without You there’s no Me.

Thank you Lord for EVERYTHING!
