Isn't it amazing how things just get work out--despite how bad it seems? That was my inspiration for this piece...

There’s no need for fear.

Like a gentle breeze that flows over a peaceful valley
God surfaces when troubles flood
And situations seem most dismal.

In the stillness of the moment--
The quiet between knowing and dread--
Softly spoken words--“It’s going to be okay”--
Caress the ear

And we turn to find a stranger
Smiling tenderly
His reassuring eyes and meek confidence
Merge to create a moment
Where calm overtakes anxiety

And peace returns to a troubled spirit.

With his message delivered the stranger walks away.
He looks back briefly
Seeming to say, “Remember what I told you”.

And the breeze continues.
It sweeps through the valley now
With a comforting chill that awakens the senses.

It is unmistakenly whispering
“God’s defeated fear.”

Without our further action,
The bill is paid;
The check arrives in the mail;
The illness is healed;
And all becomes well in our world…

There’s no need to fear.

God’s angels
Ever present
Watch over us
With love.
