This expression does not follow a specific form. It was written during a moment of longing for a connection.
The day is twenty four hours, the night seems forty-eight.
Seconds, minutes, and hours, my heart has to wait.
Your skin touching my skin, would make my heart stop-
I am conflicted-
I am torn.
I am attracted to, not only your mind,
An angelic beauty, rivaled by none.
You take my mind, somewhere;
I wish to get lost in your thoughts,
as you have mine.
I am conflicted-
I am torn.
How could an unworthy man, like me-
even stand in your presence?
How could a poor peasant, attempt to speak to her Majesty?
I am conflicted-
I am torn.
I could long for your touch, but in my heart, I am afraid.
I am nowhere near a perfect man.
Just the thought of bringing you a moment of sadness, brings tears to my eyes.
This is why, I refer to you as Precious.
This pressure prompts me to walk away...
Your image, your words, your kindness hold me captive.
I am conflicted-
I am torn.
To be near you, I wish for more days.
Your smile, your eyes, I wish for more days.
An embrace...
I am conflicted-
I am torn.
Regardless of the form, very good. Shows humility and longing. We've all had those moments where we are in the presence of beauty and intelligence that we can't touch.
