Hold me & Love me

Don’t stand there and tell me it’s over,
Don’t say those words again,
Just hold me tight within your arms,
Light our love with a hot burning flame.

See the tears that follow,
Feel my heart breaking into,
Just hold me one more time,
Tell me we’re not through.

Hold me, and love me,
Darling never let me go,
For my heart belongs to one,
I can’t last if you decide to go.

I count the many stars you share,
The many clouds above,
I devour every memory,
Made of an honest love.

Just hold me in your arms,
The way you always do,
Whisper in my ear,
Your love for me is true .

Woman you are very poetic--as for your husband wondering where some of your poems come from--I think all of us on here could ask the same thing ourselves when we get an urge to write a poem and we can easily say

" Now where did that come from?"--LOL

Hope you write more songs...& more...& more! :)

Love the rhythm & passion &...though there is sadness, the belief
in love -- that it can last and means more than anything -- leaves a warming glow.

There is a country song inthere somewhere. Sometimes it's hard to let go and the old warm feelings outweigh the bad even though letting go is best. Nicely written.
