Just a few thoughts as I stroll along on a sunny summer day.
Just Wandering
February 11-2014
The sun is shining so brightly,
It's amazing how many thoughts can
run through your head.
I feel like spinning until I fall.
Like a child enjoying life.
I watch as they play in the sand,
remembering when I was a child and
how I spent hours building castles,
I see two puppies playing in the distance,
and I wonder where has the time gone,
The years has slipped by so quickly.
My days of strolling will continue on,
as that is when I wander back to my youth.
I spent so many years wishing I was older.
Here I am today wishing I could turn back
the years.
If I could give the children today any
advise, it would be to enjoy your youth
for tomorrow it be gone. Years go by fast
my dears, hold onto it as long as you can.
Swim like the fish, fly like the birds,
Sing like an angel, love life fully.
I often wish I could go back to younger years and be the healthy strong person I was before age set in and pains took some of my youth from me. I enjoyed your walk and I am so very happy to ba able to come back and read and comment again in my favorite place to share with my friends here at the Den.

I wholeheartedly agree with you. I tell my two grown up boys to dress well . The youngsters just don 't seem to be bothered about dressing properly these days... unlike guys of times when we were young, they always wanted to impress the girls with their dress styles and suits and ball dance and all.-roseline

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
