What If
June 27, 2025
By Rose Marie Rideout
I watched a ship on the waters,
The ocean such a beautiful blue.
The falls in the distance,
Showed a freedom so true .
The clouds like snow up above,
The breeze blew so free.
As the ship rest still in the water,
Where man meant it to be.
The sails were gently swaying,
As though not a care to be feared.
Just the breeze on the waters,
Where it was freely shared.
The prettiest blue was to be seen,
Was passing by so fast.
This special vision I'd seen,
Would all too soon be part of my past.
What if just for a moment,
You were set out to sea all alone.
Upon the bright blue waters,
Set our free to now roam.
Not another soul close by,
Just you and your ship freely to fly.
