I do believe in the Lord

And trust Him to care for me.

My tongue tries to speak good of others

Although my mind plays catch up sometimes

And I want to lie to the person I face

But yet I tell the truth.

I turn away wrath by being honest

And try not to get angry with someone,

Always knowing frustration is better

To have than anger that makes me go backwards

Rather than forward to face the truth.

It’s difficult to live in peace with others

Yet I know God watches what I do, say and think;

He knows every move I make,

Yet guides me to believe in Him more and more

And thus make life easier for all those

Whose lives I touch.
