Like a sharp needle in my arm,
Wine shot through and there wasn’t any harm.
It felt so good going in I couldn’t get enough.
Then whiskey entered the scene, treated me rough
But, oh, I liked it, feeling so high
The buzz I got made me float in the sky
One shot, two shots, three, I lost track
Passed out on the sofa, my head leaning back.
Awaking at two, turn off the tv and go to bed
The sound of the alarm never hurt my head.
Coffee’d up, I left for work and no one caught on
That I was still high and fighting a demon.
They were all fooled as far as I could see;
So it was still wine, whiskey and me.
