introspection

I started my own

            internal riot today

            and as the storm clouds

            gathered,

I could sense the conflict

            starting –

            darting back and forth

                        from side to side.

This feeling started in my brain

and moved to my stomach where

I was sickened by the turmoil.

Grief and trepidation poured forth

            from my mouth as did obsenities

            I have not used in years,

                        months,

                        days;

            All came forth with such a force

            I was anxious and bitter

            simultaneously;

I feel better but know the battle

may surface once again as I

gain insights of myself…..

Feels like some soothing music would have calmed you down. Fighting insights is hard and takes much energy. Believe me I do know. Have them too. Back and forth thoughts. Set aside a time to do what I like to do and they go away eventually.
