This poem always makes me smile - genies, after all, are Mercurial beings. It's another philately poem - I went through a stage where stamps inspired meditations on personal and group identity. This philately poem, however, is really about inspiration, the muse, the life of the poet/artist ... given there's a genie in the piece it's also about meditating on exactly what we want/desire in life ... 'You have three wishes, Sir!'
