A Thought:

 Written: 4/23/15- 9am est

From dust on dust, this world began
In molded clay-the soul of MAN
The perfect sculptures in it… must
With passing time, return to dust
The gifts are nowt but schoolroom fare
A place to learn and grow from there
But ego’s thoughts, demand, they must
To dabble changes in the dust
They challenge all the wisdoms in
Creations logic…order…Then
A question poses in my mind
If one small grain is changed in kind
Then tell me where my soul doth go
If I am labeled GMO?

Hi Krissy,
You have certainly chosen a contentious subject.
(It must be the Irish in you)
Despite all the reservations about G.M crops, the world may not have choice shortly, other than go that route, if climate change continues at its present rate.
The world is facing a global disaster in regards to food supply.
Medically there considerable benefits accruing from G.M. bacteria, the production of Insulin for diabetics just to name one of the many, and bio fuel another.
I would imagine one possible answer to that scourge of the Irish and Celtic people “hereditary hemochromatosis” will be eradicated eventually, by such gene modification.
In answer to your question, I think that those modified and those un-modified will both land up in the same pot, with a special hot grill set aside for the Vatican crowd.

Don't mind Jerry. But he did get close…

We are already genetically modified since we use technology to prolong our lives and improve our chances of reproduction even when we shouldn't pass on our damage genes to the next generation.

But then again, genetic mutation is natural and very common in all of us, creating the diversity and strength of the living population and even the character of humans. Perhaps the biggest danger in genetically modifying ourselves is to stress uniformity over diversity, thus weakening our gene pool.

Seems I am labeled thus as well, so we both can find out where we sooner or later go...but if I go first I'll let you know...-e-
