Of all the things and riches in the world, the one thing we all have in common is time. Value each moment.

Time.

It's the stuff life is made up of.

While you are thinking about sharing a special

Word, touch or smile

Don't put it off.

Just say it.

Don't ever be ashamed to say what

Is inside your heart

Make time to be

You.

Because when you are

Yourself

No matter what anyone

Else says or does

You will be speaking your

Own Truth

And not pretending to

Be something you are not

Your time is valuable

Spend time with people that matter

And that make you smile

You deserve the best

But ask that friend and yourself

Out loud

Would you take the time for me

If I asked you?

Would you come over here

And talk to me now

And not ask why

Just come

Take time for me

As I would take time for you.

Would you greet me with joy

And happiness if you saw

Me on the street

While you were with your friends?

Would you call out my name

and rush over to me?

Or would you pretend you

Didn't know me?

Because your are embarrassed

To take time to know me?

Take time for true friends

As they are the ones you can count on

They would be by your side in a

Heartbeat if you

Ever needed them.

Don't ever devalue time

Or a true friend

That accept you just the way

You are.

Do not ever devalue yourself

By accepting less

Than you truly deserve.

Take the time

To live

To love

To accept

To give

And to

Be there for your

Friends

Always

Value each moment

And each person

That you truly care

I always find it amazing when I stumble across poems that are along the same lines as poems I have written..similar in theme that is...
My latest poem, Gift of a Broken Clock, talks about sharing our time so that people know we care... :~)

Your words are wise and full of truth!

Very well written and presented, a valuable life message that unwinds like as string on a ball with each line.

Hi Katie, this is a well written poem.Life is too short and all os uf need to take the time out to be with loved ones and freinds that truly care about us.Most importantly who love us for who we are.The 2 best feelings in the world are 1)Knowing and loving who you are and 2)Having friends and family accept and love who you are.Being around positive people is very important to our well being.take care

Sometimes I close my eyes and I can "feel" time flowing past my face like a breeze. Once again you give good advice, Katie. Thank you. Love and best wishes,

Regis

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
