I've come from afar
To bear my heart and soul
I wonder my love
Would you be true ?
If my heart I give to you,
Would you treat it as i it was a stranger?
Or would you protect it from all harm, hurt and danger?
As I mentioned before I've traveled a long way
To find what my heart's been searching for
A love that's true when the years have turned my hair to silver
And the days of my youth are washed away
Will your love for me be as strong as it is today?
A love that's true and can carry you through the everyday struggles
Of life no matter what the plight
From birth, physical challenges and even death
A love that's true that can withstand the test of time
And after all trials and tribulations we can
Look at each other and say you're still mine
That my friend is beyond ove
Beyond love must be agape love that's unconditional. Jesus has that love for us but can we truly reach that high of a love for others? It's worth seeking. Amen
Somehow, I wish your explanation for leaving and coming back was less dramatic. I'm not fond of haiku. I realize it may be a Japanese high art, but I will leave interpretation of haiku poems to the experts, not me.
