Inspired by author's Polish poem:
Do Jesiennej Trawy from the collection
Wiecej Slow i Wiecej Gliny.
Sleep tender blades. Close tight your slanted lashes.
Let the soft blanket hide you with its feathery mettle.
Let powdery softness shield you from northern gale,
from gusts of cruel winter, from sleet and icy hail.
Later you will awaken. Summer is nigh approaching.
First rays of warmth already touch your tresses.
Spring’s golden breath will tell another story,
sway you once more in waves of verdant glory…
Unpardon me but I relent it boldly;
For it is far ahead, if I can be sure of it,
And far it is, that my hallucination be valid,
And hallucination it is, as it should be,
And however, unlike itself, mysterious, unknown, and untested,
So it be foreseen in my tireless search.
I really like these images of the quietness of winter to be followed by the hope of growth in the spring. Lovely! I took a picture of our fall oaks (leaves just turning in December in LA). I should post it on my page because this poem makes me think of the beauty we are surrounded by that so many people never even see. Nice work, Stan.
Welcome!
The poems in this beautifully bound book are a result of over twenty years of observations. Observations of the world around us and on the telecommunications network. All of the hate, love, heroism, disasters, and those who help.

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
For it is far ahead, if I can be sure of it,
And far it is, that my hallucination be valid,
And hallucination it is, as it should be,
And however, unlike itself, mysterious, unknown, and untested,
So it be foreseen in my tireless search.
