Another miserable windy day

and I don't know what to say

about all the loss and the pain

that's come our way.

Sorry, I couldn't fulfill your dreams

but I can't even fulfill my own

so that's just the way

it is.

I'm left stuck in society

barely able to breathe

and you know that your

ambition is killing me.

For all the things that we

couldn't say,

it's just another day.

I'm still holding the things you said

when you went away, before you stayed,

and it's all burning me up inside.

The world is unforgiving,

and never does apologize

for all the things that are done

inside your mind.

If these are the dreams you need to see

then I will go to sleep,

never knowing what the future may bring

only imagining what I can't keep,

and that's the only way;

another windy day.
