Afraid to live
afraid to die
a hopeless being
unable to cry.

Afraid of love
afraid of hate
an empty heart
without a mate.

Afraid to be weak
Afraid to be strong
a mind confused
by an endless throng

Afraid of death
Afraid of life
a hopeless soul
filled with strife
