This is a poem I wrote my last year of high school about my disability.

Cerebral Palsy
A Life beyond my control
But something I would never change
Uncertainty is but common in my brain

The judging can go beyond the pain
And to always proving to the
Young accepting me

The need of constant power to overcome
Always having to prove
"I can do it"
"Don't try to stop me"

"I will prove to you"
"I can do it"
"Don't stop me"
"Or you will see"

Cerebral Palsy is
Just how life must be
A Life I will never change

Fear is another
Common strain in my brain
But yet doesn't overpower

Cerebral Palsy
My life
But not just mine
Others too

Many don't feel as I do
But others
Help me to feel as I do

Remember
You only you
Hold the power
To overcome
