A fun one
The green-eyed monster At rest, Like a slumbering volcano Slowly awakening Uncoiling, roiling Getting ready To strike! Slowly slithering Into the light Malice and avarice, Insidiously creeping Palpable Smouldering, Simmering, Sizzling Green With envy and jealousy Stealthily drawing closer �Oh! What a delight Today is the day I�ve decided To make you Pay I will have it my Way You can no longer Keep me at Bay� Boiling Roiling Striking Hitting the mark Venom, mixing with blood Flooding � coursing � flowing swiftly Through veins Gagging Sagging Feeling like lead �Guess what�? You�re dead!

Ah ... Africa in my home once more. West Africa it was for me 1973-78.
Once confronted a Black Cobra. Did not have time to compose a poem on that occasion however. Glad you did.
