A load of water bound for Atlanta
In two rigs, go down to Orlando
I am bound for Florida,
Land of oranges and Mickey Mouse
Glad I drive at night
Rest stops are full to the brim
Not an empty spot to park
We take turns having a rest stop
All night long, the wheels turn
I am standing on the accelerator
Just to make the speed limit
The other driver is behind me
Distribution center has two docks open just for us
No other trucks are in the yard
Have our choice of docks
Not a problem backing into the slot
Back on the road, we need fuel
Stop and get it. Boy, the stares I get
I set up the pumps on either side
One hundred fifty gallons in each side
One thousand eighty nine dollars
Company fuel card is in my pocket
Glad I don’t have to pay the fuel
A quick shower and back on the road
The rest stop is empty of big rigs
Where we park for the day
Sleep is what we need now
Tonight we finish the run
Home for Christmas
My last run before this special time of year
