she's seventeen.
named for her uncle
& me.

she's quite a young lady.
really smart, quite bright.
all A's in honors.
well rounded.
and she has a dream.

her own island.
where humans can come.
live.
communicate.
not socialist nor communist.
democratic nor autocratic.
just humans living together.
forever.
a Dream.

first it's college.
then the peace corp.
share herself.
then her Self Be.
quite a dreamer you see.

an island.

a place in the sun.
a place where poets
and lovers can run.
live life & have fun.
no killing, no guns.

now what i say next
please don't take me wrong.
i'm just an old hippie

roll the dice.
don't think twice.

they hate us.
we hate them.
we help they.
maybe that's why,
them wanna' play.
they want us to die.

them said they would
when they could.
and they did
