CHILL
An awakening so raw and brisque,
that the chill bumps, which gather by the thousands,
are glazed in fine brushes of blue ice, up and down
both innser sides of my arms.
I'm taken aback, for I stand fully wrapped
in a ten pound dark red sweater,
one black over-sized Dutch leather waist coat,
soft boots to my thighs and Victoria hose;
But I shiver, like I'm pre-convulsed
and its nerve wrecking, and debilitating
because I cannot shake enough, to shake you off
so envelope your arms around me
so that I can remember the peaceful
pour of sunshine which radiates from you.
Vapored heat penetrating your system
walking all over and through you
trying to leave this heat on you
I'm draped over you,
getting close and staying here
all I want is to whisper in your ear
say sumthin sweet or maybe sing off key
replace those chill bumps with my body
show you how warm you could really be!
I paused, long enough to catch sun rays
and dress you in them, kiss the sky
to stop the cold wind
undressed you from coldness
and re-wrapped you in me again...
