Faint, that roar that rises from within
and sends a shiver up my spine,
yet wide its mouth that swallows up
so much of what I've known of me,
eclipses haven of reality.
Mind's eye sees another great divide
to which all were blinded before.
And after, fissures we might have seen
matter not. Earth bleeds smoke and fire.
We become love, reach then ever higher.
Below: remnants, blatant disregard,
poisonous delusion and loss.
Our gain: newfound hope, perspective:
rising, harmonic perfection,
expanding out in every direction.
I awaken, startled, shaking, torn.
Alone in the dark, shadows cast,
shocking as writing on a wall.
The world tonight a cradle rocking
dreams of waking, certain future knocking.
