We gather as women
strong and wise,
courageous bearers of a Light
that will not be consumed,
to honor the journey.
We break bread and remember
the way in which we have walked.
We gather as women,
resilient in our innocence,
tending the fragile flower of Hope
that longs to blossom full,
to awaken us to all that awaits.
We drink wine and celebrate
that there is more life to be lived.
We gather as women
knowing in our bones
there is a Song rising even now
from ash and it will not be silenced
or squandered in busyness.
In communion we are present
to strands of story shared.
From the one heart,
we gather in sacred circles
and rise up, calling forth
our full humanity
our whole divinity
showering our lives
with laughter
and tears.
From the one soul,
we weave the world
in the womb of this hallowed moment
and the space between it
and all that comes next,
using all the colors and textures
that make us who we are.
We gather as women,
laying to rest
all that has bound us,
all that has reduced us to powder,
all that has ripped us
from the arms of Love,
and we wait for the miracle.
We gather as women
to say I love you and I'm sorry
please forgive me
thank you, thank you,
thank you for seeing me here.
We thank the Light, the Hope, the Song
and the beauty of this way.

Dawn, Life is a journey for all of us
and each one of us can and do make a
difference...Enjoyed!
I would love to be invited at such a gathering of women. I sometimes miss the kind of women you portrayed
"strong and wise,
courageous bearers of a Light
that will not be consumed"
and each one of us can and do make a
difference...Enjoyed!
