Poem Artwork

Having washed clean the hot breath
of August, she emerges whole,
and teeter totters,
perched high
on a precipice.

All heightened glory, she turns,
twirls and piourettes, then bows.
Her clock stops and she
unwinds,
falling forward fast

Into October's good grace.
In time, all is reconciled,
redeemed, and reclaimed.
Swept up,
she rises to shine.
