Poem Artwork

I will no more acquiese divine perspective to fit neatly into
some tiny God box of human design or trace
flat clrcle's fixed circumference.

But if you should wish to bathe in the sacred pool
and have our eyes washed clean together,
I will meet you to see what we will see.

I will look upon you with innocence,
knowing the vastness of who you are.

I am done with ways of being that compromise life's flow,
damming up my soul's expanse, restricting, constricting
love and its whole truth and mystery.

But if you should wish to meet me in this rain
or dare to ride life's rapids wild, I will be glad
for every moment, without expectation.

I will move with you in trust and grace,
through this treasured time.

I will never sacrifice this wild heart's freedom song
or play the role of crazy, misguided heretic,
handing you the keys to everything.

But if you should wish to take one step in faith
and meet me in the clearing I will stand anew
in freedom by your side and sway together.

I will fly free and sometimes follow,
listening for home.

Very gorgeous poem Dawn. What is so good about your write is that I keep reading it over and over and keep getting more and more out of it.
Another way of saying it is that one would never get bored reading your verses.
You have a unique ability to do that with your words and lines.
Thanks, Dan

Who wouldn't want to "meet you in the clearing" after reading a poem like this?

A great write, says lots, makes me think of my God and country and the greatness there is to enjoy.

You Look FatCalgary by RickthePoetWarrior

Using Calgary as a backdrop the author satirizes the self-serving nature of the public as it continues to fatten itself, not only physically, but egotistically as well.
