This Sophia's response to "Too Soon"

With All My Love Dear Mom and Dad You are two loving parents Without you, I would not have life Please try not to be sad To have you as parents … Wow! Am I blest! I loved to hear you say, "Did you feel that kick?" I loved it when you planted a kiss on Mom’s belly I loved it when I saw all the wonderful shower gifts I loved to hear you speak my name with tenderness I know that you feel so alone But, I am still with you In your heart In your memories I know your dreams are unfulfilled Because I was only with you for a little bit, you … Didn’t get to watch me crawl, run and jump Didn’t see me graduate Didn’t see me get married or have children DID get to feel my love for you I can see you from up here Watching you give each other comfort Wishing I could take your sadness away Still … I feel your love When I took my first breath I was scared I am thankful to have a ‘big heart’ It let me feel how much I am loved I have asked God for special favors … To fill your lives, again, with joy when you speak and think of me To guide your steps with love and hope To keep friends and family close To remind you that I still feel your love To help you share your sadness and comfort To let you know I share God’s glory To let me share my wisdom To let you know that I am grateful you gave me Life And, now, I have eternal life I will *always* love you, Sophia Copyright (c) Kathy Armijo 06-09-10

This piece brought me back to visit my firstborn son's grave. He is always remembered although here only a short time. I had been so bitter for such a long time, many, many, many years ago. I have been blessed to have a second chance with my second son who is now 7 and he is loved dearly.
