I love this writing; it is a very lovely piece of work, Carin. It puts me in a place, but I feel this is only metaphorical (the lightning and thunder), perhaps a broken relationship or a moment of unsatisfying decision. Whatever the meaning, it is most beautiful to read, and has opportunity for free interpretation. I love writings like that. Thank you.

Carin, your poem beautifully captures the pain of an event like a snapshot. The words convey the sentiment of loss of innocence and regret to a heightened degree, not unlike a purging of these feelings to promote healing. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! This is similiar to what I've been through, with a friend (girl) of 19yrs. but it ended and we work together daily. A hi is about all we share!
IN my heart I wish her well, but I believe friendship/relationships should go BOTH ways, I don't like 1-Way relationships, unless health permits it!
