Now I have been
in my sun filled Apartment
for 5 years now

The location is sweet
I have a park, and can
walk to many stores
and the doctor's too.

Why others choose to
come or leave, I don't know.
My cats are happy with
their own window space.

I cannot take all this
from them or me

I HAVE been sober for
17 1/2 years right here
in my little home town.

I will not be threatened
by violence, physical or other
I will not move from my streeet.
You can stay or leave,
but I was here first.
