solstice

the outer taller trees

are catching the morning winds

on this porch the chimes

are soundless for a moment

then the gust arrives

filling the space with sound

laid upon the sparrow songs

strategically surrounded

by their harmony


strawberry red, dots

the fringe, ripe fruits blushing

to be chosen and sucked

by warm lips


butterflies send streamers

of pastel ribbons to twirl

and tickle the mossy leaves

where the purple fuchsia

pods engorge in

anticipation of full bloom

with gratitude...look around and
recognize the magic and majesty
of the Nature.

The peak of summer is emerging upon us. It has ben so hot and dry but the wind keeps blowing, the sea breeze, bringing with it occasional showers briefly drenching before quickly passing on with the breeze that is the only thing keeping the hot nights sane.
