I spied upon an old man
Barefoot dancing in the sand
Gentle seagull dance
Unyielding romance
Touching the sky with his hand
Leaving foot prints in the sand
Flying beneath outstretched wings
As the cool wind softly sings
An alluring song
Tempting right or wrong
Waltzing upon my heart strings
He touches my inward longings
Stormy waters beat cadence
Melody chimes resistance
Charmed as a child laughed
Smooth vanilla waft
Fiery hues grow intense
On the day’s final incense
His hand grips the crimson sky
A single tear he dared to cry
Soft white feathers touch
Flight’s desire too much
Twilight fading from his eye
As he dances with his rye
