I apologize for my absence over the past several years. Since my brother's death in 2022, I had been in hibernation and did not want to do much in my life. I feel like a leftover person, and no longer belong to this world. Then I caught COVID-19, topped with pneumonia, and almost died in the hospital. I feel like God does not want me home yet. I looked at my beautiful children, and yes, God is right; I need to be here and be strong for my children. I spent the last few years recuperating from my illness, and to this date, I'm still wearing my oxygen. But I'm healing now. It was said that the Long Covid would take about 4 years to heal, and it is now 2026, and I can spend a few hours every day without oxygen. So, I think I can get rid of it completely and be my old self again.
Until recently, I looked into my brother's belongings and found out that my brother was actually an artist!!! He used his hands to create things. His achievements really amaze me!!!
When he was alive, he painted many paintings and created many things with his hands. I inherited most of his stuff because others didn't claim it. There were a lot of stones and beads that I could use to make jewelry. So, I was suddenly inspired to make handmade jewelry. These are the ones I have made with his beads and stones to entertain myself, and I no longer feel bored. My brother had inspired me to keep on living and to live with a purpose.
I am now into creating my line of handmade jewelry. Though it is at the beginning, I am determined to create more and will set up an online store as soon as I've built up my inventory. Here is what I have created during the past several weeks.
Sadie I'm truly sorry to hear of your brother's death Dear. Hugs are being sent to you. We will place our brother's ashes in the ground next Friday. He was very good at art as well and designing things. We will always miss him and love him. He's with our mom,dad, brother and sister.

Oh dear Sandy I can relate, in 2022, I lost my mum and a few months later my partner. In 24 I lost my eldest brother and two months ago I lost my other brother.
It’s good to see you creating again, the care and patience in your work really show, and it’s clearly bringing you back into life at your own pace with such depth of love through so many trial and tribulations. Life can be so bloody tough, yet in that hurting comes beauty.

Thanks so much, Ron!!! I'm sad to know that some friends have left. Recently, even our best friend Regis Auffray has passed away as well. That took me by surprise as well. I always thought he was going to stay for a long time because he was in good health.
Regarding my brother's artistic value. I knew he had that in him, but our parents played favoritism among their children. We just let our oldest sister and brother outshine everyone else in the family. We let our parents brag about my sister's achievements and we've just be invisible. I had been invisible pretty much most of my life with my parents until they chose to come to Canada to be with me and my brother who was the least of their favorites. They made us feel honored to be chosen.
Anyway, I did have a great time with them during the last 16 years of their lives which made me realize that whatever they did was due to the traditional Chinese culture. We enjoyed their time with us. My dad paid a lot of attention to me and every I had a promotion at work, he took a bunch of us to celebrate in Chinatown. Daddy stayed with us for 14 years and was gone too soon because of lungs cancer. My mom stayed with us fir 16 years, also left too soon because of cancer. I'm surprised I'm still alive and kicking Thank God!!!!

Those jade pieces are very beautiful and I'm sure if you open a website or sell on eBay like I do, you may get some good money from them. I'm sad to hear that you lost your brother. But I wonder why you didn't know about his artistic ability before.

This book has been eight years in the making. It is mostly a jumble of thoughts written down in old spiral notebooks and hidden in the bottom drawer underneath various manuals for software packages and hardware long since turned obsolete.
This book is a collection of short stories that depict events in Author's life while she lived in Romania, then in Greece, and last in America. It's a beautiful and very sincere account of a young woman's life and comming to age.
