Memorial for our 6 month old kitty who passed away in 2003 after suffering much sickness. We still miss him.
Sometimes I take a nap, And see there in my dreams. A little Tippy Kitty, Alive again it seems. He came to bring us joy, But couldn't with us stay. He'd sleep within his bucket, While resting from his play. His head it had a wobble, His walk it had a spring. He'd leap upon our bed, And to our bodies cling. He'd purr a happy kitty, And crawl up to be near. He'd paw and lick my nose, And maybe bite my ear. But then I saw his spirit, Striving to be free. "I want to go back home." He seemed to say to me. He hasn't gone so far, A dream or nap away. I see him as he runs, And plays the night away. 1.13.03 Copyright 2007
