Children are a miracle.
A blessing especially when they are asleep!

to describe the sweet smell
of Cammie's hair
as he sleeps in my arms
blonde ringlets so soft
and shiny

No artist could capture
this perfect little face
eyes closed
and a crooked little smile
rosy baby cheeks
so precious so sweet

As I hold his tiny little hand,
little baby fingers
I marvel at how perfect he is
every feature more perfect than the other

He takes a breath and tilts his head
apprently laughing
at something I said.

He giggles even in slumber
this tiny little boy
who brings us so much joy

So sleep little Cammie
and I will just watch
lest I close my eyes
and you are all grown up
