He comes when you least expect it;
sunny little smile, golden rose,
determined baby nose,
suddenly softly in your face
grasping glasses in giggling light,
pouring rainbows,
many hues of new days dawning
and their starry nights.
Author’s note:
Poem written after a visit to our grandson,
Noah, then just over a year old.
He loves to grab eyeglasses and smiles
as he waves them wildly in a clutched fist.
