The seas were calm. The wind was light.
Her glory was gone, but not her fight.

Her strength will exceed all expectations,
As a Pakistani crew mans her stations.

The Garcia Class frigate with torpedoes and guns,
Making eight WestPacs, mission accomplished in every one.

Faithful and brave is her motto and law.
Outstanding achievements is what we saw.

The Jason is SOPA of Quaywall and Peir.
AIRPAC supervises ships that moor here.

Number two AC and number two chilled water pump.
Number two MG and the number two fire pump.

Online the last time for O'CALLAHAN's crew,
But ever ready for challenges new.

The Captain's GIG and Motor Whale Boat,
In the skids alongside ready to float.

All hands are posted and ready for watch,
Sharp as a tack the OOD and Officer of the Watch.

Joseph T. O'CALLAHAN in March of sixty-four,
Gave his final contribution to the crew mentioned afore.

He gave us his name for all of our sakes,
And will be remembered as a true saint.

With Irish Spirit and a Chaplain's courage,
She served and outstanding life.

In calming seas, peace, or strife, so here today we can all say,
The O'CALLAHAN can and will any day

Commander Schnurrpusch stands tall,
Never giving 99% on board his ship.

He must give it all, the example he sets far exceeds
His expectation of Officer and Chief

O’CALLAHAN sailors stand proud and tall,
Never refusing to answer their call.

As I am truly grateful to commit these last few words,
This entry and ship will be committed

To mind and memory of all the sailors who served her
As we pray for FAIR WINDS AND FOLLOWING SEAS.
