A soldier standing under a flag of red, white and blue,
protecting a country of many races, proud, strong and true .

A lady holding the torch of liberty high for all to see.
watches over a country who still remains free.

An old cracked bell that rings in liberty,
its echoes shook the world eternally.

An old parchment signed in quill pen,
makes us all equal and all free men

We have fought dictators, each other and kings,
protecting the flag, and all that it means.

No king rules us from a throne,
no dictator will make us his own.

No death squads will march down your street,
to take your lives for daring to speak.

No master race, no genocide,
no armies to quell American pride.

It not because of a flag of blue, white and red,
that stands proudly over our heads,

Nor is it because of Lady Liberty,
standing and watching there by the sea.

Nor is it for the parchment signed by quill pen,
signed by the nations greatest of men,

These are the true things that keep us all free,
Air Force, Army, Marines and Navy.

The ones who stand for the Red, White and Blue,
The protectors of freedom that has been given to you.

The ones who stand ready to defend the country,
against all who threaten our liberty.

The ones who are stationed far from their homes,
throughout history they still fight on.

Valley Forge, Normandy, Gettysburg, and Iraq,
Our troops stood firm in defending attack.

Looking fear in the face side by side,
eyes shining bright with American pride.

The real reason we enjoy freedoms call
is the sailors and soldiers all.

They are protecting our country no matter the cost,
without them our freedom would be lost.
