I saw her ghost late last night,
in her dress of shining light,
as she glided through the hall.

She did not speak or make a sound,
and her feet never touched the ground,
as she passed through the solid wall.

Her name is lost in history,
But her face I sometimes see,
in the corner of my eye.

Her dress is long since out of fashion,
I sometimes wonder if forbidden passion,
was the reason she did die.

What is the cause that she must roam,
in the shadows all alone,
this lady of mystery ?

What was her real name,
and what wonderful things,
did she see in our history ?

Now she walks in dress of white,
in the shadows of the night,
perhaps waiting for Judgement Day.

To go to Heaven or to Hell,
and to break the unknown spell,
that keeps her on this earth to stay.
