A Morning Praise

The soft rustle of the sheets
Cracked the silence of the dawn
Hushed placid tiptoes
Belied the urgency
Of the departing moon
Watching the first gold line
Splitting up the skies
She spread out her arms
Raised her face to the heavens
In transcendent voice she said:
”Here I am Lord, embrace me!”

In my novel "The Paradise of Revenge," my devout young heroine Josefina Camarillo greets each morning sunrise outdoors and on her knees communing with God.

If I had read your "A Morning Praise" before I wrote my novel, I think I would have done a better job.

Very uplifting and spiritual. I love it!
