High on a hill,
He died for me
Nailed on a cross
cut from a tree.
The other two,
crucified there
did not arise
from a borrowed lair.
But arise he did
to walk this earth.
A King crowned with thorns
from a humble birth.
He taught with parables,
so all might understand.
As His Fishers of men
traveled the land.
His lessons of love,
trust and belief,
belie the fact that
he died like a thief.

He died there for me
