It’s come down to the last, so many lives lived within one life, reduced now, to a pile of refuse, broken boxes, old puzzle pieces, a stray sock, Barbie’s arm and Ken’s winged-tip shoe.
Where did the time go when it became change? How is Barbie surviving and where is Ken wandering, she without an arm to link and he with just one shoe?
Your version of toy story is compelling and gripping. Brings to mind what are we missing and how are we surviving in this world without the missing pieces of our lifes? Truly harrowing is your poem in its essence but riviting in its compact reality.
